Tonsley MAB Tenancies

Creating engaging environments for energetic start-ups, innovators and boutique businesses was a challenge we couldn’t resist. A part of the active revitalisation of the former Mitsubishi site, this project saw Greenway create a number of tenancy “pods” within the former Assembly Building.

Ranging in size, shape and finish, they provide adaptable, flexible and modifiable spaces for the businesses the site seeks to attract. Two of the three facilities were created without a known user, with the third developed for an advanced manufacturing company.

The structures are made from sustainable Australian hardwoods with translucent and transparent cladding of plywood, glass and aluminium creating both open and enclosed environments. Utilising the height of the existing factory building, we added value to one of the pods with the insertion of a mezzanine level.

Since their creation, they’ve been enjoyed by a range of occupants in this rapidly growing facility.
