The Hospital Research Foundation’s Brain & Body Fitness
The Hospital Research Foundation’s Brain & Body Fitness (BBF) studio is the first exercise physiology service of its kind dedicated to improving both brain and body health through movement that supports neuroplasticity—the brain’s ability to adapt, grow, and change throughout life.
Greenway Architects was engaged to design a welcoming, contemporary space equipped with leading-edge technology. Our focus was to create an environment that encourages movement, flexibility, and cognitive engagement for people in midlife and beyond. Through thoughtful use of colour, natural materials, and spatial planning, the BBF studio delivers an engaging and interactive experience. Feature ceiling tiles, varied flooring, and curved timber screens define functional zones while enhancing privacy and acoustics.
The project also included upgraded amenities and the addition of a well-received beverage bay.
Early feedback suggests the facility is already making a meaningful difference in the lives of its users.
