Client Dept. of Transport & Infrastructure, Dept. for Recreation & Sport, Football SA Location Gepps Cross, SA Value $25M Completion 2022

The State Centre of Football Development at Gepps Cross offers a sustainable and vital facility for grassroots to elite-level football, with a corporate headquarters for Football SA. It includes playing spaces for all levels of competition, from local clubs to national and international events, and will be used as a training facility for the 2023 Women’s World Cup.

Key features of the facility include a turf show pitch with seating for 1,000 and grassed embankments for 3,000-4,000 spectators, two state-of-the-art artificial pitches, and ten 5-a-side pitches for social games and practice. The main building with grandstand extending the full length of the pitch, has a dynamic and dominating roof that generously covers most of the seating. The ground floor comprises player and public amenities including the main entrance with adjacent football museum leading to the first floor. The first floor of the grandstand houses a function space, kitchen, bar facilities, and Football SA offices, all with wonderful views of the pitch. Public plazas with hospitality areas are situated at the building’s ends.

This exceptional project delivers an attractive, durable, and highly functional facility that will serve the Adelaide Football community for years to come.
