Roxby Downs Police Station

The Roxby Downs Police Station replaced the existing facility to provide SAPOL with new facilities in this growing township of Roxby Downs. Located at the gateway point to the town, the facility has been master planned for future developments on the site. Given its location, care was taken in creating a materially efficient building, reflective of the surrounding environment, and how the building was to be built and maintained. The harshness of the environment is reflected in the strength and security of the building, whilst thermal massing and other techniques have been adopted in this inland environment where night time temperatures can be very low. As with Greenway’s other projects for SAPOL it provides current, bright, secure and energy efficient facilities for modern policing.
