Sportsmed Clinic Redevelopment

Greenway was selected to undertake a major redevelopment of the Clinic Building fronting Payneham Road as the existing fitout was tired and the layout not up to modern expectations.

Sportsmed wanted a patient focused approach and to address some shortcomings in way finding and functionality in the current layout. The previous work was undertaken almost 20 years ago and the materials and finishes were showing their age.

The 2 storey Clinic Building accommodates Physiotherapists, Podiatrists, Orthopaedic Surgeons and all the support and administrative support for these services. A Hand Clinic was included into the project approximately half way though construction and the Gym expanded further.

A major challenge was the need for Sportsmed to remain fully operational throughout the upgrade process and this necessitated work across 6 stages.

The project also included the refurbishment of the Hospital Reception and Waiting area in a separate building but the detailing, materials and finishes are consistent to reinforce the design ethic and branding.

Business has returned strongly and with the building work now completed the benefits of the redevelopment are being fully realised. The Client is extremely pleased with the result with many very favourable comments received from Clients and visitors.
