Rural Support Services

This was an exciting project for Greenway, tasked with the unique opportunity to design a new space that would see the Rural Support Service relocate its largest base and transition to new workplace models. Greenway designed a new hub that virtually integrates over 300 staff from around South Australia, with a focus on creating a space that fosters collaboration, creativity, and flexibility. While the hub contains some traditional office elements, they were less prominent than would typically be expected. Working closely with the client, we explored various solutions to integrate virtual and physical workspaces, which allowed staff to perform their jobs effectively, whilst creating a cohesive aesthetic that reflects their values.

The use of colour has created different zones in an open environment that are easily identifiable and allow a high level of flexibility. Thanks to the drop-in and task-based activity set up, the new environment has helped remove perceived barriers, allowing staff to work seamlessly, regardless of whether they are based in the office full time, mobile, or in rural areas.
