Greenway Architects

Interior Designer

By Simon Frost Apr 30th 2018 11:30am

We are seeking a dynamic, confident and skilled Interior Designer with a drive for commercial interior design to join us on a full time and permanent basis. The position is open to both recent Graduates and emerging Interior Designers.
We understand our Client's design needs and project parameters come before our own (but that sometimes they need to be pushed!). We deliver commercial, civic, residential, multistorey and educational projects amongst many others. With a portfolio reflecting projects in all sectors of the market, the Greenway Architects team is agile, adaptable, flexible and hard working. We support, encourage and even expect growth, both professionally and personally. We offer the opportunity for our team to seek and achieve this growth in every project. Revit skills are preferable, but not essential as we're an AutoCAD/Adobe/Sketchup office too.
Reporting directly to the Senior Interior Design team and Directors, the ideal candidate will be confident in client and team facing roles, design savvy and with a good eye for contemporary, coordinated and resolved outcomes. You'll be as relaxed giving a presentation to a group, as you will be having coffee with a future client, with verbal, written and drawn skills all part of your arsenal.
We work hard, but we have fun doing it. Our practice has a fostering and supportive culture with an incredible retention rate for our staff, and a long list of repeat clients who appreciate the way we deliver our service. You'll be pushed and supported to bring out your best, but at the same time, expected to work with minimal guidance to manage your own time, outputs and outcomes, with the support and flexibility to achieve this.
In return, you will enjoy professional development opportunities and real career progression. You will work with a great team of people to support you along the way, including a senior team that are committed, hands-on and driven to the development of their staff.
The role will commence in June 2018 and will come with an attractive remuneration package as determined by your experience and capability. Note that, while somewhat flexible, this is a full time, studio based role.
If you are seeking the opportunity to step up, stretch your wings, and join a practice where you can make a real difference and mark on the lives and spatial environments of our clients, then we'd certainly like to hear from you. Should you wish to discuss the opportunity further, please contact Simon Frost, Director, otherwise submit your resume and some brief examples of your work to adelaide@greenwayarchitects.com.au by no later than 5pm Monday 14th May 2018 referencing "Interior Designer" in the subject bar.

Architect/Experienced Graduate

By Simon Frost Mar 29th 2018 11:00am

Greenway Architects are seeking a talented, driven and engaging Architect or experienced Graduate to join our practice. You'll be experienced, registered (or ready to be registered), able to capably deliver small to medium sized projects on your own, and as a team member on our bigger projects. Being comfortable with clients, contractors and consultants, the role will suit those who are confident in their abilities, with recent, relevant experience to back it up. You'll be as relaxed giving a presentation to a group, as you will be having coffee with a future client, with verbal, written and drawn skills all part of your arsenal. You'll also be as comfortable on a building site, liaising directly with contractors as you will in a design discussion with your project team. You'll be pushed and supported to bring out your best, but at the same time, expected to work with minimal guidance to manage your own time, outputs and outcomes, with the support and flexibility to achieve this.
Our clients vary wildly, as do our projects. We need a team member who'll work collaboratively, across our office and our client groups, to take projects from concept to completion, with the ability to work within any part of a project's journey. Revit is preferable, but we're an AutoCAD/Adobe office too. With a portfolio reflecting projects from $100,000 to $50,000,000, in all sectors of the market, the Greenway Architects team is agile, adaptable, flexible and hard working. We support, encourage and even expect growth, both professionally and personally. We offer the opportunity for our team to seek and achieve this growth in every project. You'll be rewarded, above the Award rate, and commensurate with your skills, abilities and value to us and our clients. Whilst flexible working arrangements are available, this is a full-time position.
We're looking for someone who's ready to take the next step on their professional path. Someone who's driven to create excellent spaces, environments and relationships. Someone who fits in with our office and culture, our clients and our consultants. Someone who likes a challenge, can clearly articulate their position, isn't afraid of hard work and seeks a rewarding experience by doing so.
If this is you, please email adelaide@greenwayarchitects.com.au something that outlines who you are, what pushes your buttons and gets you out of bed in the morning including what you've done and who you've done it for.

Jamie Larcombe Centre

By Pete Tynan Dec 14th 2017 10:00am

The Jamie Larcombe Centre has officially opened - see news article here.

Glenside Health Service Campus provides an opportunity to develop a purpose-built, multi-use facility to be a Centre for Excellence for treatment of Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder. The site is low-stimulus and private, with access to recreational, community and garden spaces. The site is primarily dedicated to Veterans mental health with a new facility to provide distinct care for Veterans of all ages and for first responders.
The new facility attaches to a previous Intermediate Care Centre with some of that facility altered to suit the new function. The simple skillion roof form of the building continues the same design language as the existing building and allows for maximum natural light and ventilation. A large focus has been made to de-institutionalize the facility, to provide a warm, welcoming and secure and safe atmosphere with views and access to a variety of beautifully landscaped courtyards.
